Calling all experienced and budding photographers!
The TTTA are running a competition to find images suitable for their 2011 Christmas Cards and a 2012 Calendar. The theme is “Winter” and we would like to hear from anyone with photographs of the recent snow and ice. Local scenes of Debden and Wimbish are preferred but other winter scenes will be considered.

A landslide has destroyed a village killing 5 people, two of them school children in the mountain region of Taprang, a district of Tang Ting, Nepal. Many others have been injured. Tang Ting is twinned with the villages of Debden and Wimbish.

Another successful community event took place with the TTTA Anniversary Dinner held on 15th May 2010 at the Officers Mess, Carver Barracks. We were honoured with the presence of the Nepalese Ambassador, HE Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise and his wife Dr Milan Adhikary, the Commanding Officers from Carver Barracks, along with local residents and representatives from businesses in the local and surrounding area. The evening was great fun and provided ample opportunity for guests to mingle, integrating the two villages with the Nepalese community and Carver Barracks.
